Regular Season Round 5: Tczew - Kotwica 84-92

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Tczew (1-3) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Kotwica (3-1) 92-84 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tczew won third quarter 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Bosnian power forward Marko Djuric (208-83, agency: Promotex) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Kamil Zebrowski (188-89) added 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Four Tczew players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kotwica keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Tczew lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Kotwica will face league's leader AZS UMK Torun at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tczew will play against Notec in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
