Recanati forced the game against Ravenna into an overtime, but lost by four points 80-84 on Sunday night. The game took place in Recanati. But the guests from Ravenna were better at the end. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-11. But Recanati won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Recanati used huge pressure winning it 20-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 10-14. Ravenna made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Recanati turnovers. Recanati was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Eugenio Rivali (178-86) who scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Francesco Amoni (201-84) chipped in 20 points. American center William Mosley (202-89, college: Northwestern St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and naturalized Belgian point guard Dimitri Lauwers (187-79) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Ravenna and five Recanati players scored in double figures. Ravenna have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Omegna. Recanati at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Ravenna will face Piacentina in Piacenza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Recanati will play at home against Chieti and hope to win that game.
