Regular Season Round 4: Stelmet ZG - AZS Koszalin 91-79

TBL round 4 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader AZS Koszalin (3-1) against seventh ranked Stelmet (3-1) 91-79 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS Koszalin. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-79. Stelmet looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Stelmet players scored in double figures. American forward Qyntel Woods (202-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 14 points and 9 assists in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stelmet moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated AZS Koszalin. AZS Koszalin will play next round against Energa Czarni trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Stelmet will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Asseco in Gdynia.
