The game without a history. Townsville Fire led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to West Coast Waves' 36 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Townsville Fire forced 21 West Coast Waves turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds.
