Regular Season Round 4: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Hapoel Eilat 100-95

Date: October 27, 2014
Bnei Hasharon has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hapoel Eilat (1-3) 100-95. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 40-28 last quarter charge of Hapoel Eilat cut the lead to 100-95 at the end of the game. Bnei Hasharon players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Hapoel Eilat was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by international point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 assists and American forward Jasper Johnson (203-83, college: Delta St.) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists by international Elishay Kadir (202-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Eilat. American swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 22 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat and Hapoel T-A. It was Hapoel Eilat's third loss in a row. Bnei Hasharon will play against Ironi Nahariya on the road in the next round. Hapoel Eilat will play against Maccabi Ashdod to get more than just one victory in their record.
