Very expected game when 17th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (1-4) was crushed on the road by third ranked Limoges CSP Elite (4-1) 102-66 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges CSP Elite. Entente Orleans 45 was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges CSP Elite dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Entente Orleans 45's 34. They outrebounded Entente Orleans 45 34-18 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Limoges CSP Elite especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Entente Orleans 45's players. The former international forward Adrien Moerman (203-88) stepped up and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 19 points. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. American forward Drew Viney (203-88, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 12 points and Congolese-Central African Max Kouguere (198-87) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Nanterre. Loser Entente Orleans 45 keeps the seventeenth position with four games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face league's leader Strasbourg IG on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Entente Orleans 45 will play against STB Le Havre and hope to win that game.
