Regular Season Round 6: Den Helder - Amsterdam 84-66

Bottom-ranked Amsterdam (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-66 loss to fourth ranked Den Helder (3-3) in Den Helder on Tuesday evening. The game without a history. Den Helder led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 34. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (195-91) with 17 points and 8 assists and forward Stefan Mulder (189-91) scored 12 points. Den Helder maintains fourth position with 3-3 record. Loser Amsterdam still closes the standings with five games lost. Den Helder will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amsterdam will play against Rotterdam (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
