No shocking result in a game when Olimpia GrGAU (2-0) crushed Sozh-GGU (0-2) in Grodno 100-58 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh-GGU's 32 and made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Olimpia GrGAU forced 27 Sozh-GGU turnovers. Forward Natallia Kozun (189-88) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Alena Holubeva (176-94) supported her with 15 points. Four Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Olimpia GrGAU's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds by forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) did not help to save the game for Sozh-GGU. Guard Ekaterina Charikova (174-82) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Olimpia GrGAU will meet Gorizont in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sozh-GGU will play against Gorizont II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
