There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Stjarnan (2-2) beat 5th ranked Snaefell (2-2) in Stykkisholmur 92-81. Snaefell was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 49-35 second half run of Stjarnan. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 42 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American forward Jarrid Frye (196-85, college: Sacred Heart) fired 28 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Justin Shouse (181-81, college: Mercyhurst) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. International Stefan Torfason (200-94) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American forward William Nelson (200-89, college: LSU-Shreveport) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Stjarnan's next round opponent will be league's leader Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and it may be the game of the week.
