Regular Season Round 4: Tindastoll - Njardvik 86-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Sauoarkrokur between third ranked Njardvik (2-2) and fourth ranked Tindastoll (3-1) on Thursday night. Njardvik was defeated by Tindastoll on the road 75-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Njardvik. Tindastoll dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Njardvik's 24. Tindastoll forced 26 Njardvik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American forward Darrell Flake (193-80, college: McKendree) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. American guard Dustin Salisbery (196-84, college: Temple) replied with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Agust Orrason (191-93) added 13 points in the effort for Njardvik. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tindastoll moved-up to third place. Njardvik at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Tindastoll are looking forward to face IR in Reykjavik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Njardvik will play at home against Keflavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
