Regular Season Round 6: Ammerud Bskt - Tromso 73-72

Important game to mention about took place in Oslo. Eighth ranked Ammerud Bskt (1-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging top-ranked Tromso (5-2) 73-72 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Tromso cut a 18-point first quarter deficit to one at the end of the game. Ammerud Bskt forced 22 Tromso turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Ronald Timus (196-84, college: Morgan St.) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Thomas Ble (185-89) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ble is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Keon Lawrence (187-87, college: Seton Hall) replied with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and forward Arne Ingebrigtsen (197-90, college: Cuesta JC) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tromso. Four Tromso players scored in double figures. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ammerud Bskt left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Tromso at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Ammerud Bskt will play against higher ranked Gimle BBK (#3) in Bergen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tromso will have a break next round.
