Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked ALM Evreux (2-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Boulazac Basket (3-0) 87-80 on Friday. ALM Evreux was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Boulazac Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to ALM Evreux's 30. ALM Evreux was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of British forward Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Florent Tortosa (196-89) responded with 17 points and American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 16 points. Five Boulazac Basket and four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Boulazac Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Monaco. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the seventh place with two games lost.
