Regular Season Round 10: AB Ancud - Osorno 69-70

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Nacional took place in Ancud. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 8th ranked AB Ancud (3-6) to sixth ranked Osorno (6-3) 70-69 on Saturday evening. AB Ancud was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Osorno made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Darren Moore (190-89, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 34 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Grady Reynolds (198-80, college: St.John's) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Osorno's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Eryk Thomas (200-85, college: E.Tenn.St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four AB Ancud players scored in double figures. Osorno moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Colo Colo. AB Ancud lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with CDU Catolica. Osorno is looking forward to face league's second-placed CD Castro on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AB Ancud will play against Deportivo Valdivia (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
