The game in Limerick supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked DCU Mercy (3-1) played at the court of 7th ranked UL Huskies (1-4). DCU Mercy smashed UL Huskies 86-54. DCU Mercy dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to UL Huskies' 42. DCU Mercy forced 22 UL Huskies turnovers and outrebounded them 52-21 including a 37-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Caroline Stewart (182-90, college: Boston U.) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Sarah Woods (174-88) accounted for 21 points. American center Laura Hughes (188, college: E.Washington) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Kelsey Harris (180, college: Elon) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for UL Huskies in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DCU Mercy moved-up to second place, which they share with Meteors and Liffey Celtics. UL Huskies lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. DCU Mercy's next round opponent will be Brunell (#5) in Cork. UL Huskies will play on the road against Liffey Celtics in Kildare and hope to win that game.
