Regular Season Round 6: DCU Saints - UCC Demons 73-101

Premier League top team - UCC Demons (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked DCU Saints (2-3) in Dublin 101-73. UCC Demons dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to DCU Saints' 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Colin O'Reilly (200-84, college: Post) who scored 33 points (!!!). American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was international center Martins Provizors (202-87) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and international point guard Eoin Darling (186-83) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCC Demons have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Loser DCU Saints dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with UCD Marian and Dublin Inter. UCC Demons will meet UCD Marian (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. DCU Saints will play against DCU Saints and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
