No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tochigi Brex (6-2) defeated at home 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (2-6) 72-66. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hokkaido L. won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hokkaido L. 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Hokkaido L. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and the former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. Guard Tomokazu Abe (180-85) added 13 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the guests. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record having just -2 point less than leader Hitachi SR, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. Tochigi Brex's next round opponent will be Toyota Alvark (#3) in Tokyo, which may be the game of the day.
