Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-2) defeated at home 7th ranked Oita Heat Devils (3-7) 71-60 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Yutaka Yokoe (176-89) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. Shiga L-Stars' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American center Todd O'Brien (213-89, college: UAB) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Drew Barham (198-89, college: Gonzaga) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds.
