Tenth-ranked Shimane Magic (0-10) gave a tough game to first ranked Kyoto Hannar. (9-1) on Sunday. The visitors from Kyoto managed to secure only one-point victory 61-60. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with 18 points and Tatsuhiro Yokoo (186-85) scored 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Kyoto Hannar. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Toyama Grouses. Shimane Magic at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost.
