Regular Season Round 7: Rotterdam - Amsterdam 96-70

Bottom-ranked Amsterdam is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to sixth ranked Rotterdam (3-3) 96-70 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Rotterdam. Amsterdam managed to win second period 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Amsterdam 45-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Yannick Franke (194-96) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (195-91) answered with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Harvey Van Stein (198-78, college: Cent.Conn.St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Amsterdam. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rotterdam moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Den Helder. Amsterdam at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Rotterdam is looking forward to face Den Helder (#4) at home in the next round. Amsterdam will play against the league's second-placed Zwolle (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
