Roseto's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Treviglio (3-3) 78-71. Treviglio was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 39-31 second half run of Roseto. They outrebounded Treviglio 42-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized French center Sylvere Bryan (208-81, college: Tampa, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Pitts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Roseto players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Tommaso Marino (192-86) with 18 points and 5 assists and Mirco Turel (192-94) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Roseto (1-5) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Tortona and Piacentina. Treviglio at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Roseto will play against higher ranked Scafati (#13) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Treviglio will play against Aget Service IM (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
