An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. Top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses faced second-ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins. Host Aishin Sea Horses (6-0) defeated guests from Nagoya (5-3) 88-70. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Sea Horses. Mitsubishi Dolphins was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aishin Sea Horses dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mitsubishi Dolphins' 36. The former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) replied with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jun Uzawa (197-81) added 17 points in the effort for Mitsubishi Dolphins. Mitsubishi Dolphins' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will play against Hyogo S. (#4) on the road in the next round.
