Regular Season Round 4: Grissin Bon RE - VL Pesaro 91-73

Bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 91-73 loss to fourth ranked Trenkwalder RE (3-1) in Reggio Emilia on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game was mostly controlled by Trenkwalder RE. VL Pesaro was better in fourth quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trenkwalder RE looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by VL Pesaro's players. International forward Achille Polonara (203-91) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) chipped in 7 points and 12 assists. Four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Kendall Williams (193-91, college: N.Mexico) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser VL Pesaro still closes the standings with four games lost. Trenkwalder RE will face league's second-placed Armani Milano at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. VL Pesaro will play against Acea (#10) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
