A2 Gold top team - Tezenis VE (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Mantovana (2-4) in Verona 77-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mantovana. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mantovana won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tezenis VE won last quarter 17-10. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Mantovana's players. It was a good game for American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Tezenis VE have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Mantovana dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost.
