Very expected game when 14th ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (1-4) was defeated at home by seventh ranked AZS Polfarmex (3-2) 99-88 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Polfarmex. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Polfarmex made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Kwamain Mitchell (178-89, college: St.Louis) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 assists and 5 steals for the winners and the former international Bartlomiej Woloszyn (196-86) chipped in 20 points. Four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. American guard Myles McKay (193-86, college: Wisc.-Whitewater) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) scored 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). AZS Polfarmex moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Stelmet ZG and Rosa Radom. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face league's second-placed Slask in Wroclaw in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play on the road against Twarde Pierniki (#12) in Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
