The game in Jerusalem was also quite interesting. Maccabi Ashdod (3-0) played at the court of ASA Jerusalem (0-3). Maccabi Ashdod did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. ASA Jerusalem managed to win fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to ASA Jerusalem's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Shay Doron (175-85, college: Maryland) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Eliyahu Rabi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Amanda Thompson (183-87, college: Oklahoma) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for ASA Jerusalem in the defeat.
