Regular Season Round 2: Foshan LL - TianJin S. 121-93

Date: November 4, 2014
The game between Foshan (1-1) and TianJin Steel (1-1) in Foshan on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Foshan outscored guests from Tianjin 121-93. The game without a history. Foshan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Foshan outrebounded TianJin Steel 44-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) notched 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and Ukrainian center Viacheslav Kravtsov (211-87, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for TianJin Steel. Forward Nan Zhang (197-81) added 17 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Foshan will meet Jiangsu TX on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. TianJin Steel will play against Sichuan BW and hope to win that game.
