Regular Season Round 2: Liaoning H. - Sichuan BW 117-93

Very predictable result when Liaoning Hunters (3-0) rolled over Sichuan BW (0-2) in Yingkou 117-93 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 117-93. Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Sichuan BW 57-35 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Liaoning Hunters looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) notched 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Metta World Peace (201-79, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Sichuan BW. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Four Liaoning Hunters and five Sichuan BW players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Liaoning Hunters will meet at home Chongqing FD in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sichuan BW will play against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
