Regular Season Round 2: Bayi R. - Beijing Ducks 89-100

Very expected game when Bayi Rockets (0-2) lost to Beijing Ducks (2-0) in Ningbo 89-100 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) notched 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the effort and the other American import guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 21 points. Even 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by the former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) did not help to save the game for Bayi Rockets. The former international forward Lei Wang (203-86) added 17 points for the hosts. Five Beijing Ducks and four Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Beijing Ducks will meet Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play against Jilin Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
