The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Prievidza as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Inter Bratislava) loss. Prievidza smashed 5th ranked Levice at home 97-48. Prievidza dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Levice's 32. Prievidza forced 21 Levice turnovers and outrebounded them 51-22 including a 18-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Levice's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Juraj Hasan (202-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Prievidza's coach Krunoslav Krajnovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Levice. Prievidza have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Inter Bratislava and Rieker KN. Levice lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Levice will play next round against SKP Banska Bystrica trying to get back on the winning streak. Prievidza will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Inter Bratislava on the road.
