Regular Season Round 4: Sydney UF - Canberra C. 76-60

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Canberra Capitals (3-3) were defeated on the road by third ranked Sydney Uni Flames (3-1) 76-60 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Sydney Uni Flames. Canberra Capitals was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. Sydney Uni Flames' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Abby Bishop (189-88) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Sydney Uni Flames moved-up to second place, which they share with Townsville F. Loser Canberra Capitals dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Sydney Uni Flames will face Adelaide Lightning (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Canberra Capitals will play against West Coast Waves in Perth and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
