Regular Season Round 12: Nassjo - LF Basket 83-76

We should mention about the upset which took place in Nassjo, where higher ranked LF Basket (4-4) lost to tenth ranked Nassjo (2-6) in a road game 76-83 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-76. Nassjo made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brenton Butler (188-87, college: Fordham, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 assists and Danish forward Zarko Jukic (201-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. Nassjo's coach Nemanja Jovanovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) scored 17 points. Nassjo moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Eco Orebro. LF Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Sundsvall. Nassjo will meet league's leader Uppsala Basket on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LF Basket will play against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
