Regular Season Round 6: Rosa Radom - Wikana-Start 75-50
Date: November 7, 2014
No shocking result in a game in Radom where fifth ranked Rosa (4-2) smashed 9th ranked Wikana Start (2-4) 75-50 on Friday. The game without a history. Rosa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rosa outrebounded Wikana Start 50-36 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wikana Start was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. American center John Turek (205-83, college: Nebraska) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (200-77) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Lukasz Diduszko (197-86) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Asseco and Stelmet ZG. Newly promoted Wikana Start dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Rosa will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Wikana Start will play against Polpharma (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
