Regular Season Round 7: Dublin Inter - DCU Saints 90-100

The biggest surprise of round 7 in Premier League was guest DCU Saints' (3-3) road victory over 6th ranked Dublin Inter (2-4) 100-90 on Saturday evening. DCU Saints dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Dublin Inter's 48. They outrebounded Dublin Inter 56-28 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. International center Martins Provizors (202-87) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. International guard Eoin Chubb (188-90) chipped in 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five DCU Saints players scored in double figures. DCU Saints' coach Joey Boylan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian Laimonas Jonaitis (200-86) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Mazvydas Cepliauskas (175-84) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. DCU Saints moved-up to fifth place. Dublin Inter at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with UCD Marian. DCU Saints are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Belfast Star (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dublin Inter's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Dublin to the arena Templeogue.
