Leader Kyoto Hannar. recorded the tenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Sendai 89ers (7-4) 90-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sendai 89ers. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Sendai 89ers managed to win fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannar. shot 60.4 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Kyoto Hannar. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) helped adding 23 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St., agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 22 points and forward DeAngelo Casto (203-90, college: Washington St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kyoto Hannar.. They maintain first place with 10-1 record, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Toyama Grouses. Loser Sendai 89ers dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Osaka Evessa and Aomori Watts. Kyoto Hannar. will again meet at home Sendai 89ers (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sendai 89ers will have a break next round.
