Regular Season Round 9: Wakayama T. - Chiba Jets 72-89

An interesting game for Chiba Jets (6-4) which played road game in Wakayama against 4th placed Wakayama T. (3-7). Fourth ranked Chiba Jets had an easy win 89-72. The game was mostly controlled by Chiba Jets. Wakayama T. was better in fourth quarter 30-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chiba Jets shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Kosuke Ishii stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five Chiba Jets and four Wakayama T. players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets moved-up to third place, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Wakayama T. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Hyogo S.. Chiba Jets will play against league's second-placed Tochigi Brex on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wakayama T. will play against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
