Regular Season Round 3: CREF Hola - IF Air Europa 73-53

An interesting game for CREF Hola (3-0) which hosted in Madrid IF Air Europa (2-1). CREF Hola had an easy win 73-53. The game was mostly controlled by CREF Hola. IF Air Europa was better in second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CREF Hola dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to IF Air Europa's 30. CREF Hola forced 25 IF Air Europa turnovers and outrebounded them 51-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for guard Esther Moreno (178-85) who led her team to a victory with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian swingman Kendel Ross (185-88, college: Dayton) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Maria Espana (175-92) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and center Isabel Vila (187-92) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for IF Air Europa. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CREF Hola will face Segle XXI in Barcelona in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. IF Air Europa will play at home against Alcobendas and hope to win that game.
