Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rieker KN (8-3) against sixth ranked Handlova (6-5) on Saturday night. Host Rieker KN was defeated by Handlova in a tough game in Komarno 70-79. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-70. Handlova made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian swingman Luka Drezga (196-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. Handlova have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Rieker KN dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Prievidza. Handlova will meet at home Levice (#6) in the next round. Rieker KN will play against Nitra (#10) in Nitra and hope to secure a win.
