A very close game took place in Orleans between Entente Orleans 45 and JL Bourg. Fifteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (3-4) got a very close home victory over 16th ranked JL Bourg (2-5). Entente Orleans 45 managed to escape with a 2-point win 76-74 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-74. Entente Orleans 45 outrebounded JL Bourg 30-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Forward Steven Smith (203-83, college: La Salle) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points respectively for JL Bourg in the defeat. Five Entente Orleans 45 and four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 5 other teams. JL Bourg lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. They share it with ASVEL and Chalons-Reims. Entente Orleans 45 will meet Chalons-Reims (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JL Bourg will play against Paris-Levallois and hope to secure a win.
