Regular Season Round 7: Paris-Levallois - Chalon 84-94

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Chalon/Saor and 12th ranked Paris-Levallois had identical 3-3 record. But Paris-Levallois was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Chalon 94-84 on Saturday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for guard Jason Rich (191-86) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Anthony Ireland (175-91, college: Loyola Mary) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) added 18 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Paris-Levallois. Paris-Levallois' coach Gregor Beugnot gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chalon/Saor (4-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Paris-Levallois dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Chalon/Saor will face higher ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paris-Levallois will play against JL Bourg (#17) and hope to win that game.
