Regular Season Round 6: Eskilstuna - Sanda 85-48

Date: November 8, 2014
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Eskilstuna and 8th ranked Sanda Basket had identical 1-3 record. This time Eskilstuna used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Huskvarna 85-48 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Eskilstuna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Eskilstuna forced 25 Sanda Basket turnovers. Forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Jeffrey Parker (201, college: Wingate) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Marcus Larsson (191-97) with 15 points and Casper Ronqvist scored 6 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Eskilstuna (2-3) moved-up to eighth place in South. Loser Sanda Basket dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Eskilstuna will face Brahe Basket (#10) in Huskvarna in the next round. Sanda Basket will play on the road against Trelleborg and hope to win that game.
