Regular Season Round 11: Nova Ves - Nitra 104-106

Nitra's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after ten consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Nova Ves, where they edged Nova Ves (3-8) 106-104. Nitra players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Martavious Irving (185-90, college: Kansas St., agency: SDJ Sports) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists. point guard Jakub Novysedlak (189-93) chipped in 23 points and 9 assists. Montenegrin point guard Goran Bulatovic (186-88) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 16 assists and Croatian forward Andrija Hrkac (195-93) added 27 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nova Ves' coach Ivan Kurilla rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nitra maintains tenth place with 1-10 record. Nova Ves at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Nitra's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rieker KN (#3) in Komarno and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
