ASEFA Estudiantes used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Almeria 85-72 on Saturday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when ASEFA Estudiantes's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-17 extending their advantage to 13 points. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. ASEFA Estudiantes outrebounded C.B Almeria 38-23 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Rocio Torcal (-94) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 4 steals. Forward Maria Conde (184-97) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Jessica Kitrys (183, college: Adelphi) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Beatriz Fernandez (165-91) added 18 points in the effort for C.B Almeria. ASEFA Estudiantes will face Leganes on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. C.B Almeria will play against Dist.Olimpico and hopes to get finally their first victory.
