No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Cadi La Seu (5-2) beat on the road 13th ranked Rivas Ecopolis (1-6) 65-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cadi La Seu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cadi La Seu forced 20 Rivas Ecopolis turnovers. It was a very good performance for international center Laura Gil (190-92, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Belgian point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Cadi La Seu's coach Miguel Angel Ortega used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American forward Lyndra Weaver (185-87, college: Virginia, agency: Regeneracom Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and guard Gabriela Ocete (170-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 10 points in the effort for Rivas Ecopolis. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Cadi La Seu. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gernika. Defending champion Rivas Ecopolis keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Cadi La Seu will face Gernika (#5) at home in the next round. Rivas Ecopolis will play against Al-Qazeres (#10) in Caceres and hope to win that game.
