Regular Season Round 7: Vigarano - Lucca 69-85

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Lucca (5-2) beat on the road bottom-ranked Vigarano (1-6) 85-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Vigarano was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vigarano was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for international swingman Martina Crippa (178-89, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and international Martina Bestagno (189-90) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vigarano. Four Lucca and five Vigarano players scored in double figures. Vigarano's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lucca moved-up to third place, which they share with San Martino. Newly promoted Vigarano stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Lucca will face San Martino (#4) in San Martino di L in the next round. Vigarano will play at home against Umbertide (#5) and hope to win that game.
