The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona's (5-1) home victory over 5th ranked Hapoel Holon (3-3) in Nes Ziyona 68-65 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hapoel Holon won fourth quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Tony Crocker (201-87, college: Oklahoma) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Holon. Ironi Nes-Ziona have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Holon at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona will face Hapoel Eilat on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against Maccabi Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
