Very predictable result when first ranked Kyoto Hannar. (11-1) won against at home 6th ranked Sendai 89ers (7-5) 77-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Sendai 89ers was better in third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sendai 89ers to just 7 points in second quarter. It was a great shooting night for Kyoto Hannar. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Adrian Moss (204-81, college: Florida) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St., agency: KMG Sports Management) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sendai 89ers. Kyoto Hannar. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Loser Sendai 89ers dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face league's second-placed Hamamatsu Phoenix in Mikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
