Regular Season Round 13: Colo Colo - Puerto Montt 95-79

Date: November 9, 2014
Very expected game in Santiago where 12th ranked Puerto Montt (1-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Colo Colo (8-4) 95-79 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Colo Colo's pressure prevailed and they won that period 31-20 extending their advantage to 16 points. Colo Colo forced 19 Puerto Montt turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) fired 35 points (!!!) for the winners. Power forward Pervis Pasco (206-81, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Lawrence Tyson (193-88, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Sherman International) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Lonnie Funderburke (203-88, college: Tennessee St.) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Colo Colo maintains fifth place with 8-4 record. Puerto Montt lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Colo Colo will meet Deportivo Valdivia (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Puerto Montt will play against AB Ancud and hope to win that game.
