Undefeated leader Catz Lappeenranta delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 6th ranked ViVe (3-5) 80-70 in Vimpeli. ViVe was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Catz Lappeenranta made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game, while ViVe only scored seven points from the stripe. Catz Lappeenranta forced 26 ViVe turnovers. American swingman Alexandria Anderson (186-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 8 rebounds. Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kenya McBee (188-83, college: N.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds and her fellow American import center India Hairston (190-91, college: E.Michigan) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ViVe. Five ViVe players scored in double figures. ViVe's coach Jukka-Pekka Kujala rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Catz Lappeenranta (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Newly promoted ViVe keeps the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Honka. Catz Lappeenranta will play against Pyrinto (#8) in Tampere in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ViVe will play on the road against the league's second-placed Peli-Karhut in Kotka and hopes to get back on the winning track.
