There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Sionista (5-9) edged on the road 6th ranked Libertad Sunchales (4-8) 72-69 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-69. Sionista made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for the former international center Roman Gonzalez (210-78, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Marcos Saglietti (190-86) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Sionista's coach Sebastian Svetliza allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Mariano Fierro (200-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Shaquille Johnson (190-90, college: Marshall) added 18 points in the effort for Libertad Sunchales. Four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Sionista moved-up to seventh place which they share with defeated Libertad Sunchales. Libertad Sunchales lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Sionista will have a break next round.
