No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Sint Kateline Waver (4-2) crushed 10th ranked Houthalen (1-5) in Sint Katelijne 74-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sint Kateline Waver. Houthalen was better in fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for the former international swingman Sara Leemans (178-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. An-Katrien Nauwelaers (178-95) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The former international forward Annelies Blommaers (176-83) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nathalie Smolders (177-92) added 17 points and 6 steals in the effort for Houthalen. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sint Kateline Waver moved-up to third place, which they share with Waregem and Tulikivi Deerlijk. Houthalen lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Sint Kateline Waver will face league's second-placed Belfius Namur at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Houthalen will play against R.Spirou Monceau (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
